Applying for: Early Learners Birth to Three Program

Our grant would help fund their developmental early literacy play group for babies and toddlers and their parents from low-income families. Includes: the purchase of art & craft supplies to develop small motor skills, books to encourage and promote early literacy, educational toys for autistic children which can help with learning, cognitive skills, and language development, and diapers to keep babies clean, dry, and healthy. Funding would benefit an estimated 400-500 children per year.

Applying for: The Art of Great Futures!

Our grant would help bring their newly constructed art room to life and make it a creative wonderland for all BGCG kids. Funds would cover sturdy, age-appropriate flexible tables, comfy seating, and adjustable easels, as well as all materials needed such as paper, paint, tools, brushes & other materials, storage shelves, bins, and drawers to keep it all organized. Funding the art room would ultimately benefit 1544 youth, ages 6-18.

Inspirica

Applying for: Youth Services Summer Field Trips

Our grant would help ensure that young people living at Inspirica, who are unable to attend day or sleep-away camp, are also able to have a fun and joyful summer with educational enrichment, social development, the development of life skills and creative exposure. Funds would cover activities such as cooking classes, Zumba, and Karate, as well as creating their own garden, art lessons and field trips to the zoo, museum, library, aquarium, etc. An estimated 15 youth attend each trip.

Applying for: Handled with Care Boutique

Our grant would support KHK’s new Confidence & Careers: Building Professional Skills for Youth, a six-week workshop series designed to complement the boutique’s annual clothing distribution. Funds would cover workshops w/expert speakers, resume writing, interview skills, etc.; plus expanded clothing inventory job interviews & other occasions, as well as a hygiene care kit and garment bag. An estimated 300-500 children and young adults youth to be served.
